V-One Corporation has developed what they call "Gate Technology" which provides secure and manageable user-based access to private information. A "Pass" or user credential is used to allow access through the "Gate" and the authentication can range in strength from a simple password to smartcard keys or X.509v3 Certificates. While firewalls are designed to keep people out, V-One has developed a product which strongly manages those people who must be let in.

This presentation will discuss the technologies related to user authentication and data privacy which play an important role in a company's security policy. Topics to be discussed include: User Identity, Authenticated Access and Controls, Digital Signatures and Certificates, Audit Trails and Data Integrity.
