PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Topic: Wireless Networking: Wi-Fi 6/6E; Things we used to only dream about: Welcome WiFi 6E.
Related Topics/Keywords:
Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6/6E, IEEE 802.11, Wireless, Networking, Security, Access Point, Beam Forming, MU-MIMO, Mesh Networks.
Introduction & Description of Talk:
This talk will be a discussion on Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 6 technology.
Join your Unigroup colleagues on to spend time with our speaker, David Coleman from Extreme Networks. David will be discussing all things wireless, design and security, with a key focus on WiFi 6E. Both Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E are components of what David refers to as: Infinitely Distributed Connectivity. Municipalities and Enterprise companies need to connect anybody, anywhere with any device, or application. The new 1200 MHz of spectrum provided by Wi-Fi 6E offers an enhanced user experience in all use cases.
The existing 14 billion Wi-Fi users that operate in the legacy 2.4 and 5 GHz bands can immediately benefit from 6 GHz mesh backhaul capabilities. Additionally, the new Wi-Fi 6E client devices will immediately benefit from the enhanced efficiency and higher bandwidth of the 6 GHz spectrum. And of course, there's value for connecting mission-critical IoT devices, such as healthcare patient monitoring equipment, in this new pristine Wi-Fi environment.
This also opens the doors for tremendous development and innovation for higher-bandwidth applications. We are at the beginning of a renaissance of innovation for virtual reality and augmented reality applications that can be used via a Wi-Fi connection.
